Dawn

Dawn says,

Dawn-Red_FaceFront“There is no substitute for the pure Word of God. If we embrace the scriptures and align our choices with His will, our lives and leadership will be rooted and fruitful.”

Pam Farrel, Dawn’s co-author for LOL with God, is one of her greatest cheerleaders:  “Dawn has her finger on the pulse of what is happening in the hearts of women, because she serves in the trenches on the front lines of ministry today. She is positive, biblical, challenging, and encouraging.”

Dawn’s 30 years of experience in churches as a pastor’s wife, youth pastor’s wife, and women’s Sunday school teacher, coupled with 10 years in revival ministry, have equipped her to counsel, coach, and challenge women.

Darlene Barber, women’s ministry director at Dawn’s home church in El Cajon, California, says, “Dawn is expressive in her love for God and His Word. Through her teaching, speaking, and writing, her warmth and personal interest in women connect their hearts to hers immediately.”

She and her husband Bob (married 36 years) founded the outreach PaceSetter Ministries, and later, she founded Heart Choices Ministries for women. Dawn writes a weekly blog ~ Heart Choices Today, posts daily on Twitter and Facebook, and publishes a monthly newsletter, “Choices, Choices, Choices.”

LOL with God is Dawn’s first book, but she is not a stranger in communications ministry. Dawn serves as a writer and researcher for Revive Our Hearts radio teacher Nancy Leigh DeMoss. She writes a four-page prophecy newsletter for a television ministry in Colton, California, and is a freelance writer for San Diego’s Christian Examiner newspaper ~ after serving there for 11 years as a journalist. Dawn also serves as Communications Director for Pam Farrel’s’ encouraging outreach to women (ages 40-65), Seasoned Sisters.

Dawn is glad her two grown sons and their families live in San Diego so she can enjoy her three granddaughters.

Dawn jokes that she wants a red convertible someday, and she loves Jack Russell Terriers; but the passion of her life is helping women discern and decide.

“Life is all about choices,” Dawn says.”I choose God, family, bookstore gift cards, and rich, dark chocolate.”
